We have arrived in Kennet River it is Koala territory when we first drove in
I saw 2 Koala’s. We got set up and had
afternoon tea and all these birds came over, we feed them and they scratch
really hard. We went for a walk and found 8 Koala’s including a
baby. We hired a firepit and roasted
marshmallows and that was yummy I had about 5.
The next day we drove along the Great Ocean Road our first
stop was a lookout we went down to the
beach , the cliffs are so big . Then we
went to the 12 Apostles , there is only 9 left.
There was lots of people there including helicopter rides and bus
rides. Then we went to a nice little bay
that was beautiful. Then we went to thunder cave it did sound like
thunder. Then we headed back to the park
and fed the birdies again . We had
another fire and we did jacket potatoes in the fire.
The next day we went to the first ever lighthouse built in
Australia. There was 78 steps in the this lighthouse. When we got up the top it was really blowy, the
walls where as thick as my arms streatched out.
I spotted lots of Koala’s in the trees .
That day we went over to Jimmies , he is one of dads friends who he
played soccer with at Narooma. He had a
girlfriend called cartia she was from Germany, her job is a baker we got to try
her dounuts, they where very yummy.
When we went to Jimmy’s house we saw a Koala sitting on the
side of the road on a barricade, We patted him and he was very fluffy.
The next day we went
to one waterfall we got to cross the river that was very nice it was a big big
tall waterfall. We went into the town
called Lorne for lunch we had sausage rolls and pies. They where yummy.
My Lanham I will try and be home for girls cricket. I am on my way.
Sunday 9 Oct
In Robe it is home to Lobsters. We saw the people bring them in from the big boats. There was one there that was really really big. Did you know they catch them in pots. They only brought back 4 buckets, all the buckets weighed 80 kilos altogether that was $8000 of lobster. At the farm we saw them in their tanks . There was a variety of lobsters from big to small. I tried to eat a lobster I dont know what the big deal is it dosn't taste like anything. We came back and had a jump on the jumping pillow and had a swim in the indoor heated pool
The next day in Robe we went for a look in town, Wed out along the cliff faces and to cape Dombey where there was a red and white pointed thing. We walked along the beach and found lots of strange things like sea urchins and sea slugs and squishy things.
We watched an outdoor movie last night, it was really funny it was "Up."
Today we went to Sea Life , We got to feed the Port Jackson Shark, I feed it bait. We patted the Port Jackson Shark and a Banjo Shark. Did you know there are 25 species of clown fish. We saw a ginormous BIG BIG crab it was called a King Crab.
Second 2 Weeks
We are in Adelaide we went for a day drive to Hahandorf it was a lovely little German town. We went to a lolly shop and the lollies I got where sherbet bombs. joly rangers, wizz fizz and chocolate. We went to a candle shop and we got to make our own candles. The smells I put in was fairy floss, lemon,mango,lime and lavender.
Then we went to a town called Port Augusta , we left Port Augusta and went to Tumby Bay. On the way to Tumby Bay we stopped at Whyalla it had a big ship that served in the war. Called the Wyalla J 142. Then we finally got to Tumby Bay there was nothing much there.
We moved onto Coffin Bay first day we went to the National Park it had Emu's ,lizards and big cliff faces and crystal clear water and a great sunset.
The next day there was a big storm coming at lunchtime and everything went pear shape. Everyone was getting ready we saw the big black clouds come around and the weather forecast was for 60 to 140 km winds. At lunchtime the wind picked up at the 3 O'Clock the power went of. Mum and Dad got candles ready and blankets we didnt know what to do for dinner. We went for a drive and found the yacht club, that night I had Calamari and chips and just as we paid the power came back on.
We went back to the caravan and hopped in bed and an hour later the power went of again. So me and Soccer Boy got out of bed and sat at the table. Mum and dad pulled our bed in as it was getting to windy me and Soccer boy slept on the kitchen table and mum and dad slept in their bed. Then it was getting to windy so mum slept on the floor and I did too and soccer boy and dad slept on the kitchen table. Then pulled the roof down on our caravan and tried to sleep. Then it was finally the morning for breakfast the whole family just had a peice of fruit. Then we moved into the cabin. We just spent the whole day at the yachtclub because it was warm I had a pie for lunch and calamari and chips for dinner again. We went back and slept better the next night.
THe next day there was a big line up for fuel in Port Lincoln and we where running out of fuel.
We left Coffin Bay and went to Streaky bay that was a nice place. Then we went back to Port Augusta.
Today we went to Burra. On the way we went to a train station museum. It was really cool. Did you know cars can go on railways, did you know there is a nurse carraige and thats it.

First 2 Weeks
First we went to Bendigo and we did the Golden Dragon and
that was very cool and the Dragons where really really colourful. It was like a Chinese happy New Year place.
The next day we went to Pottery making. We got to be hands on the wheel and we made 2
vases, one I will get glazed and that was cool.
The next day we went to Stawell we only stayed there for one
night. That night we watched the Raiders and Panthers. We packed up and left the next day.
Then we left to go to Naracoorte. That day we crossed the border into South
Australia and on our way we saw the big Koala he was not a friendly Koala. We went to the caves the next day, I learnt
that bat poo is called guano and baby bats are called pups. There were lots of stalagmites and stalactites. We got to do a self guided tour and a bat
tour and that was really cool.
Then we reached Adelaide and we set up and me and soccer boy
jumped on the jumping pillow. The first
day in Adelaide we went to the Aviation museum, it had all the war birds and
was home to the F111. That was really
cool.
Then we went to the boat museum and it had a big sailing
ship that we could climb all over.
The next day for all the sporting fans we went to Adelaide
Oval I learnt that 2 years ago it got knocked down and got re built. We went for a tour of the oval and Geoff was
our guide.
The next day we went to Adelaide Zoo. I saw a Panda bear for my first time and I
saw a Hippo for my first time as well. The Pandas where really cool and big,
they were eating bamboo. There was
monkeys that where very cheeky.
This caravan park has an airport right next to the caravan
park and the 747’s are so cool. I can
watch airplanes all day. It has a
jumping pillow I can do my flips on and we have a really good site. It’s next
to the beach. Before we went to Adelaide
Zoo for all the soccer fans there was a soccer shop full of everything you can
